Gulf Synthetics has been in the Deck Coating business for almost 6 years now.  We have seen a lot of decks over the years and thought we would highlight some of “no-no’s” of deck design and installation.  When a deck is designed and installed properly you should expect to enjoy your outdoor space for years and even decades.

Gulf Synthetics was recently published as the feature article in “Composites Technlogy”  The article has generated interest from all over the world that we have had to purchase a secondary die and tooling.  Demand for the new technology is creating quite a stir in the seawall industry.

Bayer Material Sciences releases major Press release about the PURLoc line of composite sheet pile 

Sergey Imnadze with Sinta, Ltd has announced the final completion of the sheet pile installation in Azerbajain.  This is the first FRP composite system installed in this part of the world. 

Prominent California Theme Park has selected Gulf Synthetics to supply all of the coatings for their renovations.  The park maintenance crew has been busy re-doing the walkways and platforms throughout the park. 

Prime Restoration from Lawrenceville, GA recently sent us photos of a large driveway project that was completed this fall.  This project illustrates the creative aspects of using a quick dry coating system.  There are endless applications for ConcreteRevive.

Gulf has experienced large growth over the 2012 and 2013 years and has overgrown it’s current facility.  Gulf has recently added separate manufacturing facilities in Georgia and Pennsylvania.  We have just added and additional 10,ooo sq. ft. of additional space for our headquarters and main distribution center based in Cumming, GA

Gulf Synthetics is proud to be a corporate sponsor in the refurbishing of The Nest — home of the Norcross Arts Center.  The 1906 structure was in dire need of a facelift.  Gulf Synthetics offered the perfect solution for the distressed front porch by donating and installing our innovative coating for wood, DeckRevive.

Gulf Synthetics and Pearson Piling have formed a partnership for US Domestic sales of the new PURLoc line of composite sheet pile.  The two companies manufacture similiar products that will compliment each other for future Marine projects. 

PURLoc sheet pile is gaining traction in the Caribbean and South America.   We are shipping out truckloads weekly to the Port of Miami to supply islands in the Caribbean and South American ports.  Our manufacturing facility now has a dedicated pultrusion line that operates around the clock for the PURLoc profile.

The famous golf course TPC Sawgrass is now underway with the bridge resurfacing project.  The golf course chose our new DockRevive product to resurface all the pedestrian and golf cart bridges throughout the course.  Below is a link from their website that will have ongoing updates of the project.

Gulf Synthetics is pleased to welcome Meridian Products Ltd for distribution of our coatings in Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, New Guinea, and the South Pacific region.  Meridian has a strong presence in the marketplace with Marine and Power Poles for the Pacific Region.

Gulf Synthetics is gaining popularity in the commercial and contractor markets as the box stores continue to push products with very little service life.  The popularity of the Gulf products is recognized as THE leader for Deck, Dock and Concrete resurfacing because of our 5 year history with projects that are still in service.  Distribution is growing at a rapid pace as more National and Independent Paint companies are aligning with Gulf.  Look for the new Paint companies and stores to be added to the Store Locator in the next couple of weeks.

Gulf Synthetics is supplying 60 foot sheets of Polaris 1580 sheetpile for several projects deep into the jungle along the Amazon River.  The construction is unique because it is using a new tie back system that consists of giant sandbags and grid to support the soil.  The river drops 50 feet in eleavation for 3 months of the year and so the timing of the installation must be precise.  Look for further updates on these projects.

Suwanee, GA–Gulf Synthetics is announcing the expansion of its Coatings Division with the addition of a new line of consumer products. Since 2008, the company has manufactured a line of composite coatings that offer new “life” to existing wood and concrete surfaces. The coatings have played an integral part in keeping aging decks, docks and concrete structures from ending up in landfills across the U.S. The coatings offer a way to “resurface” and “revive” at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Gulf Synthetics recently appeared on the “Good Day Atlanta” show on local Fox 5 news. The show was featuring a segment doing some small projects around your house to increase the value or get it ready to sell. The segments focused on outdoor living spaces and landscaping. Gulf teamed up with Miller Landscaping and transformed the front yard, front porch, and the backyard deck.
